Spanish is a very difficult language… and Mauricio knows it like the back of his hand.
It is truly admirable how knowledgeable he is about his mother tongue, but even more impressive is how well he knows Dutch! I’ve had discussions with him about some aspects of Dutch (native speaker here), to end up realising he’s right and I’m wrong. The guy is a walking dictionary and he really understands the nuances of meaning and grammar.
I can genuinely recommend Mauricio if you’re trying to improve your Dutch, Spanish or even English!

Mauricio is a great teacher that matches his teaching method to your learning needs. It’s not easy to learn a 2nd language especially when you know bits and pieces and maybe learned the wrong way through day to day exposure by living in the Netherlands. But Mauricio is very patient and is able to fill the gaps in my knowledge. Because Mauricio is also realistic about learning a language as a working adult, it’s fun to learn.

Mauricio is a very pleasant and patient person who takes his Spanish teaching very seriously. He is always well prepared and knows how to combine theory and practice in sessions of one or two hours.
He does not just answer your questions but takes you back to the roots of a language in a very thorough way. By diving deep into the grammar of Spanish you really get to know the ‘technique’ of the language which makes it easier to understand the answers to your questions.
The combination of internalizing the grammar and speaking Spanish throughout the whole lessons for me is a wonderful addition to my daily practice of Spanish. Highly recommendable.
